Last year our speakers made the critical case for new media to cut through the fog of establishment voices. This year our focus switches to state propaganda and its role in the 2020 election. Every day we are bombarded with messages and images which support the status quo, from politicians to government officials to state-connected media personalities. Every day we hear implicit or explicit support for state power, war, empire, spying, taxes, regulations, and central banking. There exists, in fact, a state/media/propaganda complex. Liberty-loving people have an obligation to challenge and refute propaganda at every turn, to present truth as a non-negotiable element of a free society. Our speakers will explore propaganda in the context of the upcoming 2020 presidential election, which is certain to create a barrage of disinformation aimed to steering the American electorate.
