Here is the article: Gibson Goes on Suing Spree Over Guitar Hero . Evidently Gibson patented, or thinks they patented, the idea of making a guitar playing video game. Gibson has never actually produced one though. They are suing Target, Wall-Mart, MTV, Activision, Harmonix, Electronic Arts, Amazon.com, K-Mart, Toys-R-Us, and others. 

Several years ago Gibson sued it's Guitar competitors for coping the shape of Gibson guitars and lost. Let's hope they lose this one too.

Good thing I only own JB Player and Ovation guitars. I'd hate to have to give a guitar a dishonorable discharge for being associated with that sort of villainy.
