Newspaper is worthless

Newspaper is worthless

A report on the price of newspaper: zero

A paper mill in the central Canadian province of Manitoba is no longer accepting paper for recycling because the price of newsprint has dropped so low that it's no longer cost effective to recycle... Instead, the mill plans to simply cut down trees to make its paper. as more people read their news online, the price of newsprint to make papers has plummeted, Tembec said, and it's cheaper to use new trees to make paper. Some 200,000 more trees each year are now to be consumed by the mill, undermining arguments by electronic media that their operations save trees.

What is the Mises Institute?

The Mises Institute is a non-profit organization that exists to promote teaching and research in the Austrian School of economics, individual freedom, honest history, and international peace, in the tradition of Ludwig von Mises and Murray N. Rothbard.

Non-political, non-partisan, and non-PC, we advocate a radical shift in the intellectual climate, away from statism and toward a private property order. We believe that our foundational ideas are of permanent value, and oppose all efforts at compromise, sellout, and amalgamation of these ideas with fashionable political, cultural, and social doctrines inimical to their spirit.
